{"id":272,"date":"2016-03-18T12:29:14","date_gmt":"2016-03-18T12:29:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/nsacs\/?p=272"},"modified":"2016-11-01T09:27:45","modified_gmt":"2016-11-01T09:27:45","slug":"promise-to-stop-aids","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nsacs.nagaland.gov.in\/index.php\/promise-to-stop-aids\/","title":{"rendered":"ABOUT NACP-IV"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>ABOUT NATIONAL\u00a0AIDS CONTROL PROGRAMME (NACP) PHASE-IV<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>GOAL : Accelerate Reversal and Integrate Response<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Objectives:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Reduce new infections by 50% (2007 Baseline of NACP III)<\/li>\n<li>Provide comprehensive care and support to all persons living with HIV &amp; AIDS and treatment services for all those who require it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><b>Key Strategies:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Strategy 1: Intensifying and consolidating prevention services, with a focus on HRGs and vulnerable population.<\/p>\n<p>Strategy 2: Increasing access and promoting comprehensive care, support and treatment<\/p>\n<p>Strategy 3: Expanding IEC services for (a) general population and (b) high risk groups with a focus on behaviour change and demand generation<\/p>\n<p>Strategy 4: Building capacities at national, state, district and facility levels<\/p>\n<p>Strategy 5: Strengthening Strategic Information Management Systems.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Guiding principles for NACP- IV will continue to be: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. Continued emphasis on three ones &#8211; one Agreed Action Framework, one National HIV &amp; AIDS Coordinating Authority and one Agreed National M&amp;E System.<\/p>\n<p>2. Equity<\/p>\n<p>3. Gender<\/p>\n<p>4. Respect for the rights of the PLHIV<\/p>\n<p>5. Civil society representation and participation<\/p>\n<p>6. Improved public private partnerships.<\/p>\n<p>7. Evidence based and result oriented programme implementation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cross-cutting Areas of Focus <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. Quality<\/p>\n<p>2. Innovation<\/p>\n<p>3. Integration<\/p>\n<p>4. Leveraging Partnerships<\/p>\n<p>5. Stigma and Discrimination.<\/p>\n<p><strong> Key priorities under NACP- IV are: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. Preventing new infections by sustaining the reach of current interventions and effectively addressing emerging epidemics<\/p>\n<p>2. Prevention of Parent to Child transmission<\/p>\n<p>3. Focusing on IEC strategies for behaviour change in HRG, awareness among general population and demand generation for HIV services<\/p>\n<p>4. Providing comprehensive care, support and treatment to eligible PLHIV<\/p>\n<p>5. Reducing stigma and discrimination through Greater involvement of PLHA (GIPA)<\/p>\n<p>6. De-centralizing rollout of services including technical support<\/p>\n<p>7. Ensuring effective use of strategic information at all levels of programme<\/p>\n<p>8. Building capacities of NGO and civil society partners especially in states with emerging epidemics<\/p>\n<p>9. Integrating HIV services with health systems in a phased manner<\/p>\n<p>10. Mainstreaming of HIV &amp; AIDS activities with all key central\/state level Ministries\/ departments will be given a high priority and resources of the respective departments will be leveraged.
